So I’ve been following tennis for a while now, and this guy Alexander Zverev has really caught my attention. I mean, he’s good, no doubt. I started thinking, what are his chances of hitting it big in 2025? Like, world number one big.
First, I dug into his recent performance. I saw that he had a pretty solid 2024. He’s currently at world No. 2 and even made it to the finals at the French Open! Apparently he was super close to winning, being two sets up against Alcaraz. That must have been a tough loss, but still, it shows he’s got the game to compete at the top level.

Then I went back a bit further. He was injured for most of 2022, which was a bummer. But he bounced back in 2023, which I thought was pretty impressive. It takes a lot of mental strength to come back from something like that. You know what he has won in the past? Three Masters, Two Grand Slam titles, he absolutely deserves to be the No.1 in the world! That is a great achievement, isn’t it?

- Looked up his goals: I found out that his main goal for 2025 is to become world number one. He’s even said he’ll “let the results come to him.” I like that attitude. It’s like, “I’m gonna work hard, and the rest will take care of itself.”
- Checked out some other opinions: I listened to this podcast with Becker and Petkovic, two German tennis players. They were talking about Zverev, and it was interesting to hear their perspective.
- Did a little more digging: Apparently, this guy’s a millionaire! He has made around $35 million. Also, I found out he has a daughter, Mayla, born in 2021. Her mom is Brenda Patea, a model. They seem like a happy family, posting pictures and all that.
- Nationality: Lastly, I wanted to confirm his nationality. He is a German, but you know his parents are Russian. Once he said that he only played for Germany, and won’t change his mind.
After all this, I’m thinking Zverev has a real shot at becoming number one in 2025. He’s got the skills, the determination, and he’s coming off a strong year. Of course, nothing’s guaranteed in sports. But I’m excited to see what he does next year. I’ll definitely be watching!
