Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a tattoo for a while now, and I finally decided to go for it. The design I had in mind was inspired by Jamahal Hill, the UFC fighter. I really dig his style and what he represents, so I wanted something that captured that vibe.
First, I spent hours looking for a tattoo artist whose work I liked. I scrolled through like a million Instagram profiles and checked out a bunch of local studios. It was tough, but I finally found this one artist whose style was exactly what I was looking for – really clean lines and solid shading.
Made an appointment and went in for a consultation. We talked about the design, placement, and size. I showed him some pictures of Jamahal Hill’s tattoos and explained what elements I wanted to incorporate. He listened carefully and even gave me some advice about some design details, which was super helpful. We agreed on a date, and I was getting more and more excited.
On the day of the appointment, I was a little nervous, not gonna lie. But the artist was chill, and the shop had a good atmosphere. We went over the design one more time, and he made a stencil. Once I gave the thumbs up, he got to work.
- He prepped the area, shaving and cleaning it.
- Then he applied the stencil, making sure it was perfectly positioned.
- The buzzing of the tattoo machine started, and I just tried to relax and focus on my breathing.
The whole process took about three hours. Some parts were more painful than others, especially near the bony areas. But overall, it was bearable. I just kept thinking about how awesome it was gonna look in the end.
Finally, he finished up. He cleaned the tattoo, wrapped it up, and gave me some aftercare instructions. I looked at it in the mirror, and man, it was even better than I imagined! The details were sick, and it looked just how I envisioned it.
Aftercare
I followed the aftercare routine religiously. Washed it gently, applied the ointment he recommended, and avoided scratching it, no matter how itchy it got. It healed up nicely, and now I’m rocking this awesome Jamahal Hill-inspired tattoo. Couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
This tattoo is exactly what I wanted. I am so happy with how it turned out and glad I went through with it. I hope this log helps those of you who are considering getting a tattoo. If you are, I highly recommend that you do it!
