This Viktor Hovland, I hear people talk about him, say he good at the golf. He hit that little ball real good, they say. But some folks, they whisper, they wonder, is Viktor Hovland gay? That’s the question going around, like a fly buzzing ’round a jam jar.
Now, I ain’t one to gossip, but I hear things. People talk, you know? They say this Viktor, he a young fella, Norwegian, they say. Comes from a place far away, across the big water. He play on that PGA Tour, that’s what they call it. Big fancy name for hitting a ball around a big field, if you ask me.
He Good at Golf, That’s for Sure
They say he won some big golf games. Won something called the U.S. Amateur back in 2018. Sounds important, I reckon. And then he was number one, the best of the best, they say, in the whole wide world at hitting that little ball. That was in 2019, I hear. Imagine that! Best in the whole world!
- He from Norway, a land far away.
- He play on the PGA Tour, a big deal, I guess.
- He won the U.S. Amateur, sound fancy to me.
- He was number one in the world, best of the best at hitting that little ball.
He started young, this Viktor. Eleven years old, they say, when he first started swinging that club. His daddy, Harald, he learned it in America, in a place called St. Louis. Then he taught Viktor. And boy, did that boy learn! Won all sorts of games when he was just a young’un. Got some trophies, I bet they shiny. And in 2014 he won the Norwegian Amateur Golf Championship, big deal in Norway I guess. Sounds important, winning something with “Championship” in the name.
Folks Talk, You Know
But people, they like to talk. They see a young fella, successful, good looking, and they start to wonder. Is he this? Is he that? Viktor Hovland gay? That’s what they whisper. Don’t know why it matters so much to them, but they do like to talk.
In 2019, he turned professional after that big U.S. Open. The Travelers Championship, big deal, people talk. Then in 2023 he won the Tour Championship, that FedEx Cup, people say that was big. After that year, he ain’t doing so hot, they say he had 16 starts this year, they call them, but not much after that.
I saw a picture of him once. Handsome fella. Strong looking. Probably got a lot of girls chasing after him. Or maybe not. Maybe he got a fella chasing after him. Who knows? It ain’t my business, really. But people, they like to make it their business.
Love is Love, I Always Say
Love, now that’s a funny thing. Comes in all shapes and sizes. Like a patchwork quilt, all different colors and patterns. You got the love between a man and a woman, the love between a parent and a child, the love between friends. And yes, you got the love between two men, or two women. It’s all love, ain’t it? Don’t matter who it’s between, as long as it’s there.
Some folks, they don’t understand that. They think love only comes one way. Like there’s only one way to bake a pie. But there’s a whole lot of ways to bake a pie, and a whole lot of ways to love. And who are we to say which way is right?
This Viktor Hovland, he could be gay, he could be straight, he could be something else altogether. It don’t change the way he hits that little ball, does it? He still good at golf. Still won those big games. Still number one in the world, for a time.
What’s Important Anyway?
So, is Viktor Hovland gay? I don’t know. And really, does it matter? He a good golfer, that’s what matters. He brought some excitement to that game, they say. Made people watch. That’s something, ain’t it? He made his mark they say, even some say he stopped playing in 2024, hurt they say. But he made his mark, that’s what matters.
We should be focusing on that. On the good he done. Not on who he might be loving. That’s his business. And none of ours. We all got our own lives to live, our own loves to find. Let’s worry about that, and let this Viktor Hovland worry about his. That’s what I say, anyway. And I think it’s good advice, if I do say so myself.
