Okay, so I got kinda curious about that Masters Champions Dinner thing. You know, the one where all the past winners get together at Augusta. Sounds pretty fancy, right? Like, top-secret, exclusive club stuff.
Anyway, I remembered Bubba Watson winning it, not once but twice. Bubba’s a character, always doing his own thing. So I started wondering, what does a guy like that serve to all those golf legends? Had to be something interesting, I figured.
Took me a little digging, honestly. It’s not like they blast the menu out everywhere. But eventually, I pieced together what he served the first time he hosted, back in 2013.
Here’s what was on Bubba’s menu:
- A Caesar salad to start. Okay, pretty standard.
- Then, the main course: Grilled chicken breast. Just… grilled chicken.
- Sides were green beans and mashed potatoes.
- And for dessert? Confetti cake.
Seriously. That was it. Grilled chicken, mash, and beans. Sounded kinda… plain? Like something you’d make on a Tuesday night. Especially for that crowd, at that dinner.
But here’s the kicker. He wins again in 2014, so he hosts the dinner again in 2015. And guess what? He served the exact same thing! Okay, maybe slightly different sides this time – I heard cornbread and mac & cheese were definitely there along with the chicken and the Caesar salad. And yeah, confetti cake again, maybe with some ice cream.
I even read somewhere that Sir Nick Faldo, a big name in golf, apparently called it the worst Champions Dinner menu he’d ever had. Ouch. But Bubba served it twice!

Guess he just really likes grilled chicken and confetti cake. Can’t fault a guy for sticking to what he knows, even if it’s maybe not what you’d expect at one of the fanciest dinners in sports. It was just… Bubba being Bubba, I suppose. Pretty straightforward, no fuss.
