Okay, so I’ve been digging into the PGA Championship, trying to find some good dark horse picks. It’s always fun to root for the underdog, right? Here’s how I went about it and who I’m keeping an eye on.

My “Sleeper” Search Process
First, I checked out the course – Oak Hill Country Club. I looked at past tournaments there and tried to get a feel for what kind of player does well. It seems like accuracy off the tee is super important, and you gotta be able to scramble when you miss the green, ’cause those roughs are gonna be brutal.
Then, I spent some time looking at recent tournament results. Not just the winners, but the guys who maybe finished top 20 or top 30 consistently. You know, the ones who are playing solid golf but maybe haven’t had that big win yet.
- I started by browsing some golf news sites, just to get a general overview of who’s been playing well lately.
- Next, I dove into the stats. I focused on things like driving accuracy, greens in regulation, and scrambling percentage. Those seemed like the key stats for this course.
- I also paid attention to the odds. Obviously, the favorites are favorites for a reason, but I wanted to find some guys with longer odds who still had a realistic chance.
It was a bit of a grind, going through all that data, but it was worth it. I narrowed it down to a few guys who I think could surprise some people.
My Dark Horses
I don’t want to give away the names yet. I still researching, but will publish my picks soon.
That being said, My dark horses is who I am feeling and might be in with a good shot.

Remember, these are dark horses for a reason. They’re not the favorites, but they’ve got the potential to make some noise. That’s what makes it fun, right?
