I was really excited about the new season of Overwatch 2, so I decided to buy some Overwatch Coins to get the new battle pass and some skins. After purchasing, I launched Overwatch 2. I waited for a few minutes but I didn’t see my coins updated.
My first reaction was to restart the game. You know, sometimes it’s just a small glitch. So I closed the game, waited for a bit, and then opened it again. Still nothing. I also tried logging out of my * account and then logging back in, but nope, the coins were still missing.
Then I thought, maybe it takes some time for the purchase to process. I decided to wait for a few hours. I went to do some other stuff, came back later, and checked again. Unfortunately, the coins were still not there. This was pretty frustrating, so I decided to dig a little deeper.
I checked my purchase history on * to make sure the transaction actually went through. It did. Everything looked fine on that end. Next, I started searching online to see if anyone else was having the same issue. Turns out, I wasn’t alone. Lots of people were reporting similar problems with their Overwatch Coins not showing up after purchase.
Some players suggested waiting for 24 hours, as sometimes it can take that long for the coins to appear. I waited a full day, but still no luck. Then, I remembered someone mentioning clearing the game’s cache. I looked up how to do it and followed the steps. Restarted the game again, but still nothing.
At this point, I was getting really annoyed. I tried one more thing: uninstalling and reinstalling the game completely. It took a while, but I figured it was worth a shot. After the reinstallation, I launched the game, and guess what? Still no coins.
I decided to contact Blizzard’s customer support. But I thought maybe I could check whether there are other solutions on the Internet. I found that it could check through * Account Management. However, it mentioned that Overwatch Coins purchased on Nintendo’s eShop will not be displayed in your Overwatch Coins total. Sadly, I purchased it on my Nintendo Switch.
I have no choice, I still submitted a support ticket, explained the whole situation, and provided all the necessary details, like my purchase receipt and account information. I’m still waiting to hear back from them. Hopefully, they can resolve this issue soon. It’s really disappointing to spend money and not get what you paid for, especially when you’re excited about a new season.
