Okay, so, I’ve been following the Orioles for a while now, and this whole Jackson Holliday situation has been a real rollercoaster. Man, it started with me checking out the news like I always do. I saw a post saying that Holliday, this super promising infield prospect, was headed to Baltimore. I was pumped! “This is it,” I thought, “the kid’s gonna be a star!”
Then, a couple of weeks after that, around July 25th, I get a notification that the Orioles promoted Connor Norby, another second baseman, not Holliday! My jaw dropped. It was all because they had to put Mateo on the injured list. I was like, “What the heck is going on?” I gotta admit, it felt a little off.
Fast forward a few days, around July 30th, Norby’s debut wasn’t great. He struggled, and I started to feel a little worried. I kept thinking, “Maybe they should’ve brought up Holliday after all.” It was a tough pill to swallow. I read a lot of discussions about this, and I wasn’t the only one confused.
Then, BOOM! On August 5th, they call up Holliday again! This time, I really think he is gonna stay up. I was ecstatic! But here’s the kicker: at the trade deadline, they traded away Norby to Miami. I followed all the details about the roster move closely and learned that they got something good in return. But still, it was a shock. I literally jumped out of my seat when I heard about the trade, spilling my coffee everywhere. What a mess!
My Thoughts
- First, I was so excited when I heard Holliday was coming up.
- Then, I was confused when they promoted Norby instead.
- After that, I was worried when Norby struggled.
- Finally, I was thrilled and surprised when Holliday got called up again and Norby was traded!
So, yeah, I think trading Norby actually opens up a clearer path for Holliday. No more shuffling around at second base. It seems like the Orioles are finally ready to give the kid a real shot. And honestly, I think it’s about time. I’ve been watching this kid’s highlights, and he’s got the skills. I’m betting he’s gonna make a big impact. I can just feel it in my bones, you know? This could be huge for the Orioles, and I’m here for it!
I’ve been keeping my eye on the news about this ever since. I even saw something about the Orioles’ general manager, Mike Elias, talking about it on the Norfolk Tides broadcast back in June. Seems like this has been brewing for a while. I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. I’ll be sure to post updates as I follow along. Stay tuned, folks, this is gonna be interesting!
