Okay, so I’ve been messing around with different attack strategies in TH11, and I wanted to share what I’ve been working on. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, with some epic fails and a few glorious victories, so I thought I’d walk you through my process.

The Beginning: Scouting and Planning
First things first, I always spend a good amount of time looking at the base. I’m looking for weaknesses.
- Where are the air defenses clustered?
- Are there any obvious spots for Giant Bombs?
- Where can I funnel my troops effectively?
I mean that I tried to picture how the attack will go in my head. Like, where will my troops go first? What defenses will they target?
The Experimentation Phase: Trial and Error (Lots of Error)
Next up, I started trying out different army compositions. I started with a GoWiPe.
You know, Golems, Wizards, Pekkas… the classic stuff. I got some decent two-stars, but rarely a three-star.

Then, I switched things up and went for a mass dragon attack. I filled my army camps with Dragons and Balloons. It worked like a charm.
I watched my dragons tear through the base.
Evolving My Strategy:
After more battles, I began to see the patterns. The mass dragon attack was fun, but it was weak against certain base layouts. I learned to tailor my attacks.
The Current Go-To: A Hybrid Approach
Right now, I like to use a combination of the GoWiPe and the mass dragon attack.

I’m using Golems and Witches to create a funnel, then sending in my Balloons to take out the air defenses.
It’s not perfect, of course. I still mess up sometimes. I forget a spell, or my troops go the wrong way.
But I’m definitely getting more consistent three-stars now.
I record all of my attack and keep practicing. Keep experimenting, and keep learning!
