Alright, so I’ve been meaning to get into this whole family tree thing for a while now. My title today is “anoa i family tree”. Finally got around to it, and let me tell you, it’s a trip. Started off pretty simple, you know, just jotting down the names of my parents and grandparents. I used a piece of paper and a pencil to write down their names and relations.
Getting the Ball Rolling
First, I created a new project, it is a blank canvas waiting for me to paint my family’s history. I grabbed a pen and paper, and I started by putting myself at the bottom. Then I added my parents above me, then their parents above them. Classic tree structure, you know?
Digging Deeper
Then things got a bit more involved. I started calling up relatives, asking about names, dates, all that jazz. I created a table in a word document to collect the information. My aunt was a goldmine of information, she even had some old photos. I spent hours on the phone, listening to stories and trying to piece together the puzzle of my ancestors. It took me a few days, but finally, I collect the core information about my family.
Making Sense of the Mess
With all this info, I started drawing lines, connecting the dots. I used different colored pens for different branches of the family. It started to look like a real family tree. Some lines were short, others went way back. It was fascinating to see how everything connected.
Adding Some Flair
Once I had the basic structure, I decided to add some more details. Birthdays, wedding anniversaries, places of birth. I wanted this tree to be more than just names. I created some custom icons in an image editing tool to represent different events like birth, marriage, and you know… the other one. This is the most interesting part, it makes the tree looks like a storybook.
The Final Product
- I scanned all the old photos and added them to the tree.
- Created a digital version of the tree using some free online tool.
- Printed out a big version and framed it.
Now, it’s hanging on my wall, a testament to my family’s history. It’s not just a bunch of names and dates, it’s a story, our story. And every time I look at it, I discover something new.
It’s a lot of work, but totally worth it. If you’ve been thinking about doing your own family tree, just do it. It’s a journey you won’t regret.
