Okay, so the other day I was watching some old wrestling matches, and I started wondering about the family connections in the WWE. Specifically, I was watching Jey Uso and thought, “Is this guy related to Umaga?” I mean, they’re both Samoan, they’ve got a similar intensity… it seemed plausible. So, I decided to dig in and figure it out.
Starting My Search
First, I jumped onto Google. Just a simple search to see what would pop up. I typed in “Jey Uso family tree” and “Umaga family tree,” keeping it pretty basic.
Gathering the Info
- I started by looking at some wrestling fan sites. These were okay, but I wanted something a bit more, you know, official.
- Then, I checked out a few online articles. Nothing super detailed, but I was getting a sense of the family connections.
Putting the Pieces Together
After looking around a bit,I learned The Usos and Umaga all belong to the famous Anoaʻi * also got me to find more about their family members like Rikishi and Roman Reigns, and Yokozuna.

The real confirmation came when I finally understood how it connected. I was so excited that I finally got the correct information for my question.
So yeah, that’s how I figured out the whole Jey Uso and Umaga connection. It was a fun little research project, and it definitely made me appreciate the rich history of Samoan wrestlers in the WWE even more!
