Okay, so, picture this: I’m all set to conquer the seas in Sea of Thieves, right? Got my crew, got my ship, all ready to go. But then, bam! I realize I need to get rid of a ship from my guild. Sounds simple enough, but let me tell you, it was a bit of a head-scratcher at first.
First things first, I gathered my crew, all four of us, and we decided to start fresh. We all quit out of the game completely. Shut it down. Then, we fired it back up.
Next, we all chose to create new ships, and this is key – we made sure they were all the same type. We went with sloops, ’cause why not? Easy to manage, you know? So, all four of us, in our spanking new sloops, ready to roll.
- Logged out of the game entirely.
- Started the game back up.
- Chose to create a new ship – all of us picked sloops.
Once we were all in the game, floating around on our new ships, I had to figure out the actual removal process. I hopped onto my guild ship, the one I wanted to keep, and navigated to the guild management page. It was somewhere in the menus, I had to click around a bit to find it. And then, a ha! There was an option to leave a guild! Not exactly “remove ship”, but it was close enough.
So, I clicked on that bad boy. It was like “are you sure?” and I was like “heck yeah I am!” And then, poof! I was out of that other guild.
Once I was done removing myself from that guild, all we did was to create a new guild. We invited all the crew members to this new guild. Then we pledged our ships to this new guild and we all chose to sail for the guild. After this, it is just regular sailing. We could see that the ship we wanted to get rid of was gone. No more ship.
To Sum It Up
It’s a bit roundabout, but that’s how we did it. Basically, create a bunch of new ships of the same type, leave the guild with the ship you don’t want, and just start over with your preferred vessel. And there you have it. I managed to remove a ship from my guild in Sea of Thieves, and it wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be. Just a little bit of digital elbow grease and some patience, and you’re good to go. Happy sailing, folks!
