Okay, so today I messed around with something called a “feudal warrior crossword.” Sounds kinda fancy, right? Well, it wasn’t too bad, actually. I’ve always been a bit of a history buff, especially when it comes to old-timey Japan. Samurai, shoguns, the whole nine yards. So, I figured, why not give this crossword thing a shot?

First, I had to find a decent one. I just searched for “Feudal Japan crossword puzzle” and a bunch of stuff popped up. Some were pretty basic, like, 10 clues or something. Others were way more intense, with like 25 clues. I opted for one somewhere in the middle, around 18 clues, I think.
I found a few websites that let you print these things out, or even save them as a PDF. I just hit the print button, and bam, there it was, ready to go. Some of these sites even let you customize them, add your own clues, pictures, all that jazz. I didn’t bother with that this time, but maybe next time I’ll try to make my own. That would be neat.
So, I sat down with my freshly printed crossword and a pen. It took me a little bit of time to get all the clues. A couple of clues were real tricky, I had to sit there and think for a while. It was fun, though. It felt like I was a bit of a detective, trying to piece together all these little bits of information.
There were a couple that stumped me for a good minute, mostly about some specific historical events, and I had to guess a little. Also, the site offered an answer key, which helped me a lot.
After a while, I finally filled in all the little squares. I gotta say, it was pretty satisfying to see it all completed. I felt a little bit smarter, like I’d actually learned something new about feudal Japan.

Here’s what I noticed:
- Some of these crosswords are updated daily, so you could probably do a new one every day if you wanted to.
- There are tons of them out there, on all sorts of different topics, not just feudal Japan.
- You can even play them online, on your phone or computer.
All in all, it was a fun little way to kill some time and brush up on my history knowledge. I might try another one tomorrow, maybe something with even more clues. Or maybe I’ll try making my own. We’ll see. If you’re ever bored and looking for something to do, give one of these crosswords a try. You might be surprised at how much you enjoy it!
