At this point, I’m thinking, “Okay, this is getting interesting.” It looked surprisingly well-made, with McGregor sporting a sailor outfit and all. But then, the more I looked into it, the more it became clear that this whole thing was a hoax. There’s no official announcement, no press release, nothing from McGregor or Robbie about this supposed movie. It turns out, some clever fan just made a really convincing fake trailer. I have to say, they got me good. For a minute there, I really thought I was going to see McGregor munching on spinach and saving the day. Turns out, it was just a fun little internet prank. Still, it was a wild ride while it lasted!
