Alright, let me tell you about how I started following the Bryant University women’s basketball team. It wasn’t anything super planned, really. Just kinda happened.

Getting Started
I think I first heard about them through some local news or maybe saw a schedule posted somewhere. Curiosity got the better of me, you know? I figured, why not check out a game? So, I looked up when they were playing next at home. Found a date that worked.
Getting there was simple enough. Drove over to the campus, found the Chace Athletic Center. Wasn’t too crowded for the game I picked, which was nice. Bought a ticket right there, pretty easy process. Found a seat, settled in.
Following the Action
Watching that first game was interesting. You get a different feel for the speed and the energy compared to watching on TV. I started paying attention to how they played, their defense, how they moved the ball. Didn’t know any players by name at first, just watched the overall game.
After that first time, I decided I wanted to keep up with them a bit more. Couldn’t always make it to the games in person, obviously. Life gets busy. So, I started doing the usual stuff:
- Checking their schedule online to see who they were playing.
- Looking up scores after the games finished.
- Sometimes I’d catch highlights if they were posted somewhere online.
It wasn’t like I became a superfan overnight or anything. Just added it to the list of things I check up on now and then. Found their official athletics page useful for scores and news. Kept it simple.

Observations and What I Noticed
Over time, you start to notice patterns. You see how the team gels, who the key players seem to be, the kind of style the coach has them playing. Saw some good games, some tough losses. That’s sports, right?
One thing I noticed was the effort. They seemed to play hard, hustling for loose balls, playing tough defense. Win or lose, you could usually see they were putting in the work. I appreciate seeing that kind of effort.
Sometimes I’d chat with other folks at the games, just casual talk about how the team was doing. It’s a small community feel at those games, which is kinda cool.
Wrapping Up
So yeah, that’s pretty much it. Started out of curiosity, went to a game, and now I follow along when I can. Check the scores, watch a game here and there if I have the time. It’s just another local team I like to keep tabs on. Nothing too complicated, just enjoying watching them compete.
