Okay, so I’ve been messing around with golf gear lately, trying to figure out what works best for me. And you know who’s a total pro and has his stuff dialed in? Adam Scott. So, I decided to dive deep into what’s in his bag – you know, the “WITB” thing.
Figuring Out the Clubs
First thing I did was look up what driver he’s using. Turns out, it’s a certain brand and model, pretty high-end stuff. I went down to my local golf shop to see if they had one. They did, but man, it was pricey! Tried hitting a few balls with it on their simulator. Felt good, but not sure if it’s worth that much money.
Next, I checked out his irons. He’s got a mixed set, which is interesting. Some are from one company, and the rest are from another. I grabbed a couple of similar irons from the shop and headed to the range. Swung those for a good hour. Definitely a different feel than my current set. I could see why he’d mix and match like that, trying to get the best of both worlds, I guess.
Putting and Wedges
Then there’s the putter. He uses a long putter, which is kind of unusual these days. I borrowed one from a buddy who has one collecting dust in his garage. Practiced with it on my putting mat at home. It’s definitely a weird feeling, but I can see how it might help with consistency. Still not sure if I’m ready to switch to a long putter though.
Finally, I looked into his wedges. He’s got three of them, all different lofts, as you’d expect. I compared them to the ones I’m currently using. Mine are pretty worn out, to be honest. Might be time for an upgrade there. Spent some time chipping around the green at my local course, trying to get a feel for different wedge shots. It’s tough.
Wrapping it all up
- Spent a few days digging into Adam Scott’s WITB.
- Tried out some of the clubs he uses, or at least similar ones.
- Learned a lot about different club types and how they can affect your game.
- Realized that finding the right gear is a process, and it takes time.
- Probably won’t copy his exact setup, but it’s definitely given me some ideas.
So, that’s my little adventure into the world of Adam Scott’s golf bag. It was fun, and I definitely picked up a few things along the way. Still a long way to go before I have my own perfect setup, but hey, that’s part of the journey, right?
