Well now, sit down and let me tell ya about this fella they call The Undertaker, or as the young folks like to call him, “The Deadman”. He’s been around WrestleMania for years, and if you don’t know about his record, you might want to listen close. His WrestleMania record is somethin’ special, no doubt about it. The man’s got 25 wins and just 2 losses. That’s right, 25 wins! It’s a record that’ll be remembered for a long, long time, if not forever.

Undertakers Legendary WrestleMania Record: 25-2 Streak Breakdown

The story of this record goes all the way back to WrestleMania VII in 1991, when The Undertaker first stepped foot in that ring at the big show. His opponent that day was Jimmy Snuka, a tough guy, but he didn’t stand a chance against The Undertaker. From that day on, The Undertaker went undefeated at WrestleMania, racking up one victory after another. Ain’t nobody could beat him for 21 whole years! Now, that’s a streak that’ll make ya sit up and take notice.

But like all good things, the streak had to come to an end eventually. In 2014, at WrestleMania 30, The Undertaker met Brock Lesnar, and let me tell ya, that match was a real shocker. Lesnar ended that streak, and just like that, The Undertaker’s once-perfect record was no more. Folks couldn’t believe it. How could The Undertaker lose? Well, he did, and that was the first loss in his storied career at WrestleMania.

But it wasn’t the end of The Undertaker’s career, not by a long shot. Even after that loss, he came back strong, still fightin’ in that ring like he’d never been beat. He fought in a few more WrestleManias, and even though he lost that one match to Lesnar, his legend wasn’t shattered. He came back in 2015 and fought Bray Wyatt, and then Shane McMahon in 2016. He won both of those matches, just like the ol’ Deadman always does. But then came 2017…

In 2017, at WrestleMania 33, The Undertaker faced Roman Reigns. Now, I gotta tell ya, that was another tough one. Reigns beat The Undertaker in what some folks called a grueling match. After that, folks started wonderin’ if The Undertaker was past his prime, but no one could deny that the man had put on some of the greatest matches in WrestleMania history. Even after these two losses, The Undertaker still held his head high. He’s a legend, and legends don’t just fade away.

The matches he had at WrestleMania were somethin’ to remember. One of the best, in my opinion, was against Shawn Michaels. Now, that was a real classic. Folks still talk about that match today, and it even got the 2009 Match of the Year award from Pro Wrestling Illustrated. After that match, The Undertaker had to be rushed to the hospital, bless his heart, ’cause he took a real bad hit to the head. But that’s the kind of dedication he showed to the business. No one’s ever gonna forget that match.

Undertakers Legendary WrestleMania Record: 25-2 Streak Breakdown

After that loss to Roman Reigns, The Undertaker had a few more matches at WrestleMania, but he wasn’t the same man he once was. He was older, and his body had taken a lot of punishment over the years. Still, he fought on, giving his all for the fans and the business he loved. His WrestleMania matches after the streak didn’t have that same magic, but they still had plenty of heart.

In the end, The Undertaker’s WrestleMania record stood at 25-2. That’s a mighty fine record if you ask me, and it’s one that might never be matched again. He fought through injuries, he fought through pain, but most of all, he fought for the love of the game. Now that he’s retired, we can look back on his career and say we witnessed one of the greatest streaks in wrestling history. The Undertaker might be gone, but his legacy will never fade.

Undertaker’s WrestleMania Record:

  • 25 Wins
  • 2 Losses
  • Undefeated Streak of 21 Matches (before losses to Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns)
  • First loss to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30 in 2014
  • Second loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 in 2017

So if you ever get the chance to watch one of his WrestleMania matches, you should, ’cause there ain’t many like him. He’s the Deadman, and he’s earned every bit of his fame.
