Alright, so I’ve been messing around with my fantasy football lineup, and I’ve got a real head-scratcher. It’s down to Jake Ferguson or Dallas Goedert for my tight end spot. Both have been pretty decent, but I just can’t decide who to roll with this week.

First, I looked at their recent stats. You know, just eyeballed their game logs, points per game, that kind of stuff. They both seem to get a fair amount of targets, but their yardage and touchdowns have been all over the place. Honestly, that didn’t really help me much.
Then I started digging into their matchups. I checked out which defenses they were going up against and how those defenses usually do against tight ends. One of them, I think it was Ferguson, had a pretty tough matchup, but the other one, Goedert, was playing a team that’s been giving up a ton of points to tight ends lately. That got me thinking a bit.
So, with that info in my head, I moved on to reading some expert opinions. I scrolled through a bunch of fantasy football articles and rankings, trying to see what the “pros” were saying. Some were high on Ferguson, others were all about Goedert. It was a total mixed bag, which, again, didn’t exactly make my decision any easier. It actually make things much harder and confused.
After that, I decided to check out some player projections. You know, those fancy models that predict how many points a player is going to score. The projections were pretty close, but one of them had Goedert slightly ahead. That gave me a little nudge in one direction.
My Final Decision
Finally, I just went with my gut. After considering all the stats, matchups, expert opinions, and projections, I decided to start Goedert. It was a tough call, and honestly, it could go either way, but I’m feeling okay about it. Let’s just say, I’m hoping for a big game from him! And I am happy that it proved my gut right. I will continue doing this next time.
