Okay, so I’ve been wanting a Mason Gillis jersey for a while now. I’m a huge Purdue fan, and Gillis is just a beast. I finally decided to pull the trigger and get one, and I figured I’d document the whole process, ’cause why not?

Seriously, not a single Mason Gillis jersey to be found. It was all Zach Edey this, Braden Smith that. Don’t get me wrong, I love those guys, but I wanted a Gillis jersey!

So, the big stores were a bust. Time to get creative. I started checking out some smaller, more specialized shops online. Still no luck. It was starting to feel like a treasure hunt, except the treasure was a basketball jersey and I was starting to lose hope.

Then, I remembered a friend telling me about custom jersey shops. I thought, “Bingo!” I could just get one made with Gillis’s name and number. It might cost a bit more, but at this point, I was getting desperate.
Customization Station
I found a few websites that offered custom college basketball jerseys. I picked one that looked legit, you know, not too sketchy. I selected the Purdue Boilermakers jersey, then entered “Gillis” and his number “0”. It felt good, like I was finally making progress.

The Waiting Game
I placed the order, paid the (slightly painful) price, and then… the wait. It’s always the worst part, right? The website said it would take 2-3 weeks for the jersey to be made and shipped. 2-3 weeks! It felt like an eternity.

Finally, after what felt like forever, the package arrived! I ripped it open like a kid on Christmas morning. And there it was, my very own Mason Gillis jersey. It looked perfect. The name and number were stitched on nicely, the material felt good, and it fit great.
