So, I saw this picture of Rose Namajunas with hair the other day, and I was like, “Wait, what? I need to see more of this!” I’m so used to seeing her with the shaved head, which is totally badass, by the way. But hair? This is a whole new level of awesome.
First, I scrolled through my usual spots – Instagram, you know, the basics. Nothing. Then, I hit up Google Images, because of course. Boom! There were a few pics, but I wanted more, like, way back when she always had hair.
I spent a good hour just going down this rabbit hole. I found some older fight photos, pre-UFC stuff. It’s crazy to see the difference! She had this long, dark hair, sometimes in braids, sometimes just flowing. It’s such a different vibe from the fierce, buzzed look she rocks now.
Digging Deeper
I was curious so I tried finding some video interviews, hoping for a glimpse. Finding these was a little bit tough, because it means going way back to the early days.

- I even stumbled across a couple of really old interviews. It’s almost like seeing a different person.
Honestly, it was cool to see this other side of her. Don’t get me wrong, the shaved head is iconic, and it totally suits her. But seeing her with hair, it just adds another layer to her whole persona. It reminds you that these fighters are real people, with different looks and styles throughout their lives.
