Okay, so I’ve been diving into this golfer, Chris Kirk, lately. Just kinda got curious about the gear he’s using, you know? So I started digging around, trying to piece together what’s in his bag.
First off, I found out this guy’s been around the block. He made his major debut way back in 2008 at the US Open. Fast forward to 2022, and he tied for fifth at the PGA Championship. Not too shabby, right?
Then, I saw that he won the PGA Tour’s season-opening event at the start of 2024. Pretty impressive start to the year! Also, I noticed he played in the Masters last year, his first time back since 2016. He finished T-23, which is decent, considering.
I kept on digging and found out some more about his recent wins. Apparently, he won the Honda Classic, which was his fifth PGA Tour win. I guess he’s had a bit of a resurgence lately, winning a couple of tournaments.
Now, about his gear, this is where it got a little tricky. I saw some stuff about him using a Paradigm Triple Diamond driver, a Stealth fairway wood, and some APEX PRO irons. But that was from 2023, so who knows what he’s switched to now. It seems like he is a Callaway staff player and also uses an Odyssey putter.
From what I can gather, he’s about 6’3″ and 174 lbs. Born in ’85, so he’s been around for a while. Turned pro in 2007, and he’s from Atlanta. Seems like a pretty solid player overall.
Here’s what I found out about his career highlights:
- Made his major debut in 2008 at the US Open.
- Best major finish was T-5 at the 2022 PGA Championship.
- Won the PGA Tour’s season-opening event in 2024.
- Finished T-23 at the Masters in 2023.
- Won the Honda Classic in 2023 for his fifth PGA Tour win.
- Had a big year in 2014, winning two tournaments and finishing second in the FedEx Cup rankings.
It is interesting to see how players’ equipment changes over time. Like I said, the info I found on his clubs is a bit dated. You would think there would be a more up-to-date source somewhere. Or maybe, just maybe, I’ll try to reach out to Chris Kirk or his team directly.
Anyway, that’s my little deep dive into Chris Kirk and his gear. Hope you found it somewhat interesting!
