They say this game, this Peru vs Uruguay, is part of some big deal, some “World Cup” thing. I don’t know much about that, but it sounds important. All them countries playin’ each other. My grandson, he’s always glued to the TV when these games are on. Screamin’ and hollerin’.
This Peru vs thing, it’s gonna be in Lima. That’s a big city, I hear. They got a big stadium there, “Estadio Nacional de Lima.” Fancy name. We just had a little field back in my day. But, I guess that’s how they do it now, these big stadiums for Peru vs Uruguay and all them other games.

They say Peru vs Uruguay starts at 1:30. In the morning, I reckon. That’s early for a game, ain’t it? We used to play in the afternoon, after chores. But these young folks, they got their schedules, I guess. They’re always talkin’ ’bout “UTC” and what not. Don’t know what that is but that is when Peru vs Uruguay starts.
Who Will Win? Peru vs Uruguay?
Now, I don’t know who’s gonna win this Peru vs Uruguay. They say Uruguay, they’re good. Won some big games before. But Peru, they got some good players too. My grandson, he says they can win. He says Peru is gonna bring it to Uruguay.
I remember one time, Peru played this other team, Colombia, I think it was. And this fella, Ugarte, he scored right at the end. Made it 3-2, just like that! Exciting stuff, even for an old lady like me. Maybe somethin’ like that will happen in this Peru vs Uruguay game.
They got all these numbers, these “odds” they call ’em. Sayin’ who’s more likely to win, this Peru vs Uruguay. Don’t understand all that, but they say Uruguay is favored. But you never know, right? Anything can happen in these games. That is why people like this Peru vs thing.

They say you can watch this Peru vs Uruguay on the TV. Some channel called “Fanatiz.” Never heard of it. We just had the one channel when I was young. Now they got hundreds, I hear. Too many choices, if you ask me. But young people know how to watch this Peru vs thing.
They even got it on them computers now, I hear. Watchin’ games on a computer! What will they think of next? Imagine watchin’ Peru vs Uruguay on that little screen. I’d rather be outside, myself. But, I guess that’s the way it is now.
My grandson, he’ll probably be watchin’ this Peru vs Uruguay. He gets all excited about these things. He’ll be yellin’ at the TV, I’m sure. He gets that from his father, I reckon. Always yellin’ at the sports.

This “World Cup”, they say it’s a big deal. Lots of countries play. Argentina, France, they all played. Seems like Uruguay won it twice, long time ago. And this game, this Peru vs Uruguay, is part of it somehow. It’s all a bit confusing to me.
They say Argentina won it three times. That’s a lot. They won it in ’78, ’86, and just recently. That’s what them young folks say, anyway. They keep track of all these things. I just remember when we used to play in the field, no fancy stadiums or nothin’. This Peru vs thing, it is a big deal now.
Well, I guess that’s all I know about this Peru vs Uruguay game. It’s gonna be a big one, that’s for sure. I hope Peru wins, for my grandson’s sake. He’ll be happy then. And maybe he’ll explain all this “World Cup” stuff to me again. I still don’t quite get it. But that is okay, as long as Peru vs Uruguay is a good game.
