Alright, so you wanna know what station is the football game on tonight, huh? Well, it ain’t always easy, you know? These things, they change all the time. One day it’s on one thingymajig, the next day it’s on another. Drives me crazy, I tell ya!
First thing you gotta figure out is, whose playing? That’s important, you see. Like, if it’s the Packers and the Lions, that might be on one place. But if it’s some other teams, well, then it could be somewhere else entirely. Heck, sometimes they even got multiple games going on at the same time! Can you believe that? Too much football, if you ask me.
Okay, so, once you know who’s playing, then you gotta start lookin’ around. You got your regular channels, like that Fox, and that CBS. And then there’s that NBC, and, uh, what’s the other one? Oh yeah, ABC. Sometimes the games are on those. But sometimes, they ain’t. They like to make it complicated, these fellas.
- Regular Channels: Look for the game on Fox, CBS, NBC, or ABC. Those are the usual suspects.
- Cable Channels: Then you got those fancy cable channels, like ESPN and that NFL Network. If it’s a big game, it might be on one of them. But you gotta pay extra for those, I think. Everything costs money these days, don’t it?
Now, if you’re one of them fancy folks with all the streaming doo-dads, well, then you got even more places to look. There’s that Hulu, and, uh, what’s it called? Fubo? And Sling, and all them others. I don’t know nothin’ about them, to be honest. Too complicated for an old woman like me. But my grandson, he watches games on them all the time. Says it’s easier than using the rabbit ears antenna we used to have.
And then there’s this thing called Paramount Plus. They say you can watch the games on there, too. And something about Monday night games being on ESPN, but you gotta watch it on your computer. Computers, pah! Give me a good old TV any day.
Another place to watch the game is on the NFL app or *. My grandson tells me you can watch live games, even local games, on your phone or tablet, with something called NFL+. It sounds like magic to me, but those youngsters understand all that stuff.
So, if you really wanna know what channel the football game is on tonight, you gotta do some diggin’. Check your TV guide, if you still got one of those. Or, you know, ask someone younger. They seem to know all these things. And if all else fails, just keep flippin’ through the channels till you find it. That’s what I usually do. Eventually, you’ll stumble across it. Or, you might just give up and go to bed. That’s always an option, you know. Sometimes, a good night’s sleep is better than any football game.
And one more thing. You can sometimes find out the station, or, what was it called again, the “streaming provider”? Yeah, the “streaming provider”, on them websites. My grandson, he always goes on something called the internet, to find that stuff out. He tells me it has things like TV guides and streaming schedules. But you gotta be careful there too, lots of tricky things on the internet, he tells me.
Anyways, good luck finding your game. And don’t forget, if they have a Thursday night game, there’s always a special schedule for that too, I’ve heard they have whole bunch different TV shows planned just for that one game. And another thing, if your cable company is like mine, sometimes they’ll have the game on some weird channel I’ve never seen before. So you might have to search around. It’s all a big hassle, if you ask me. But folks seem to like it, so what can you do?
In short, to find the game:
- Know the teams: Packers vs. Lions? Something else? It matters!
- Check the usual channels: Fox, CBS, NBC, ABC.
- Look at cable: ESPN, NFL Network.
- Streaming services: Hulu, Fubo, Sling, Paramount+, NFL+.
- Check online: Websites have TV guides and streaming info.
- Ask someone young: They know all these techy things.
- Keep Flippin’: Sometimes the old ways are the best.
- Give Up: A good night’s sleep ain’t so bad.
That’s all I know about it. Hope it helps you find your game. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about football has made me hungry.
